Style412 is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the growth of conscious fashion and industry professionals within the city of Pittsburgh.
In 2017, the founder Elysia Newman hosted a series of monthly discussions, inviting a range of perspectives from the Pittsburgh fashion community to connect and discuss the current fashion ecosystem within our city.
This year-long audit became an annual report which evaluated key themes and takeaways; the most important being that Pittsburgh needed a go-to resource for fashion industry professionals who would cultivate emerging talent and support the existing.
An inaugural advisory board formed in 2018, leveraging these insights and electing a group of industry experts to serve as representatives of the fashion community. To this day, the board consists of an all-female led team who informs the strategic mission of the first-ever 501(c)3 dedicated to Pittsburgh fashion.
We support our region’s emerging industry by providing pre-professional designers with hands-on experience, technical skill and career development opportunities.
